To access NKPS data:
The data from the Netherlands Kinship Panel Study are freely accessible to researchers affiliated with academic and (semi-)government organizations. The data may not be used for managerial or marketing purposes. To access the data files researchers must have registered as NKPS data users. We have made every effort to protect the privacy of our respondents. Users must also do so. A mandatory confidentiality agreement must be signed before the data files are released. Registration implies agreement that:
The ownership of the data lies with the Netherlands Kinship Panel Study.
Research reports using the NKPS data must include the following acknowledgement:

A copy of papers and reports prepared from the NKPS data must be sent to the NKPS secretariat. Publications (including conference papers) will be listed on the NKPS website. The NKPS wave one data files and documentation were produced with great care. Nevertheless we cannot rule out the possibility that problems and ambiguities will be detected. We request users to report all errors and anomalies that they discover. We will make an effort to correct errors, and improve the documentation as soon as possible. We will also inform other users of problems reported to us.
Users are strongly recommended to submit their names and address information to the NKPS user list. Joining the community of NKPS data users is the best way to find out about new releases of the data, to hear about errors or problems found, and to receive tips about working with the NKPS data.
To register and to join the NKPS users list, please fill in the
registration form (use the register button in the left navigation frame). Researchers
affiliated with an academic or (semi-)government organization are eligible for
registration. Once we have processed your registration, you will receive (by
post) two copies of the NKPS confidentiality agreement. After signing and returning
both copies you will be given the authorization code to download the NKPS data
